Creamy Orange Snowball Truffles are rich, citrus-infused white chocolate bites rolled in shredded coconut to resemble snowballs. A no-bake dessert that’s elegant, festive, and irresistibly smooth.

  • Total Time: 2 hours (including chilling)
  • Yield: 16 truffles 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • Zest of 1 large orange
  • 1 teaspoon orange extract or orange oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup shredded sweetened coconut (finely chopped)
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar (optional, for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the white chocolate, heavy cream, and butter, stirring constantly until smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in orange zest, orange extract, and salt.
  3. Pour the mixture into a shallow bowl and refrigerate for 1–2 hours until firm.
  4. Use a small scoop or spoon to form 1-inch balls. Roll quickly between your hands to shape.
  5. Roll each truffle in chopped coconut. For extra snowiness, dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

  • Keep the truffles cold before serving for best texture.
  • Use high-quality white chocolate for a smoother finish.
  • For an adult twist, you can add 1 tbsp Grand Marnier.
