- 1 lb shrimp (peeled & deveined)
- 1 medium green cabbage, shredded
- 2 tbsp olive oil, divided
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet. Cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side, then remove.
- Add remaining oil and butter. Sauté onion until soft. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
- Add cabbage, season, and cook 10–12 minutes until tender and caramelized.
- Return shrimp to the skillet. Add lemon juice and stir. Heat 1–2 minutes.
- Top with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Red cabbage can be used for extra color.
- Add bacon or sausage for a meatier version.
- Reheats well for lunch the next day.
