Ingredients
Scale
- 1 side salmon (about 2 pounds) or 4 salmon fillets
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2/3 cup finely chopped pistachios
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Place the salmon on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and pat it dry with a paper towel. Generously season the salmon with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the honey, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic until well combined.
- Stir in the finely chopped pistachios until they are evenly coated with the mixture.
- Spoon the pistachio mixture over the salmon and press it down firmly with a fork to help it adhere.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the salmon easily flakes with a fork.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider marinating the salmon in lemon juice and garlic for 30 minutes before applying the pistachio topping.
- Substitute the pistachios with other nuts like almonds or walnuts for a different taste and texture.
